President Benigno S. Aquino III inspected the Newman Goldliner bus that was bombed in the north-bound loading bay of EDSA in Makati City, killing five people and injuring 13 others.
The bomb explosion caused the bus to be ripped at the center, creating a hole in the bus floor. It has also several damaged side windows where the passengers tried to exit after the blast.
The President was accompanied by DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo, Phil. National Police Chief Raul Bacalzo, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Nicanor Bartolome, SPD Director PCSupt Jose Arne delos Santos and MMDA chair Francis Tolentino in inspecting the bus unit with plate number TXJ-710.
